Placements

Some employers employ students for a placement year, or a specified number of weeks whilst they are still on their degree course. Often this results in the student being employed with the company when they graduate.

Definition of a placement by The Work-Based and Placement Learning Association (ASET)

'Placements are aimed at providing students with the experience and discipline of working in a business environment and the opportunity to develop skills in particular areas. They will also gain insight into the wider commercial aspects of business life including the management of the organisation and the client-company relationship.'

If you already registered as an employer with GJS then simply enter the placement on the website under the ‘Add a Job’ section.

If you are not yet registered with GJS please complete the employer registration form and once approved by the GJS team you can add your placement to the site. Please note if you are a large employer (over 250 employees) there is a fee for using GJS.
